Rep. Raúl Labrador, R-Idaho, issued the following statement after the House failed to override President Obama's veto of the Restoring Americans' Healthcare Freedom Reconciliation Act. The House voted 241-186 to override H.R. 3762, less than the required two-thirds supermajority.
"Though the House fell short today, Republicans sent a message to the American people that relief is in sight. With our majorities in the House and Senate, we forced the President to use his veto pen. Next year, under a Republican president, we can repeal Obamacare and replace this failed experiment with a patient-centered system that meets America's health care needs and reduces our deficit."
