Hudson Votes to Eliminate Job-Killing Resolutions

Today, U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (NC-08) released the following statement after voting to eliminate job-killing regulations and increase oversight of the regulatory process:

"Overly-burdensome rules and regulations cost jobs. Their drag on the businesses in our community mean employers don't hire people. That's exactly why we need regulatory reform like today's legislation that will get rid of inefficient and costly rules, increase scrutiny of rulemaking, and shrink the size of our federal government. At the end of the day, that means more good-paying jobs North Carolinians need and deserve."

Federal regulations cost Americans $1.88 trillion in 2014 alone, with small businesses and manufacturers bearing the brunt of these costs. Getting big government out of the way and enacting regulatory reform is a pillar of Rep. Hudson's jobs plan.

Today, the House passed the Sunshine for Regulatory Decrees and Settlements Act of 2015 (H.R. 712) and the Searching for and Cutting Regulations that are Unnecessarily Burdensome (SCRUB) Act of 2015 (H.R. 1155).
