Sessions: President Obama's Liberal Agenda is Straining Job Creation and Holding Back our Economy

U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX), Chairman of the House Rules Committee, today issued the following statement in response to the January unemployment report:

"This jobs report is another stark reminder that the President's policies are not working. With millions of Americans still out of work and our fourth quarter GDP growth at an anemic 0.7 percent, it is clear that the President's liberal agenda is holding back our economy, straining job creation, and killing any chance of a real recovery. What is even more astounding is that in the midst of our lack luster economic situation, the President's new proposed budget saddles the American people with more taxes and more regulations that make it even harder for families to make ends meet.

"Republicans have real, conservative solutions that will bolster our economy, and create robust job creation. I will continue to fight against this President's disastrous policies and work with my colleagues to give all Americans the opportunities they need to find a good-paying full time job and get our economy back on track."
