U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX-32), Chairman of the House Rules Committee and a Member of House Republican Leadership, today released the following statement regarding President Obama's announcement to reject the Keystone XL Pipeline:
"The President didn't just say no to a pipeline. By blocking the Keystone XL pipeline, Barack Obama said no to thousands of new jobs for hardworking Americans, he said no to bolstering our ailing economy, and he said no to putting our country on the path towards energy independence. Let there be no doubt -- this decision is based on the interests of radical left-wing environmental groups instead of the interests of American workers, American families, and the economy."
