Issue Position

The economic issue of our time is the national debt.

There is no higher priority than ending the sea of debt and deficits being created by the federal government. Our federal debt has doubled to more than $17 trillion since President Obama took office, and it's growing by $2.25 Billion every day.

We need a Congress with the backbone to say no to deficit spending and say yes to cutting. We need a more conservative Congress that will consistently oppose tax increases.

Buddy Carter: a proven conservative record. As a conservative Georgia Senator, Buddy strongly supported efforts to cut government spending by billions. When the recession devastated our national economy, he voted to cut spending to balance our state budget rather than raise taxes. Buddy Carter opposes tax increases to solve deficit spending because he knows that the real problem is overspending, not lack of revenue.

We do need major spending cuts, but we also need economic growth to fix our current national debt problem. To create economic growth, Buddy will support major tax relief plans that will transform our current, failing income tax. Either the Fair Tax or the Flat Tax would be a major improvement and both would create major economic growth.

As our new congressman, Buddy Carter will support a Balanced Budget Constitutional Amendment requiring the federal government to stop spending money it does not have. He'll also vote to repeal Obamacare, which will soon create an additional mountain of debt.
