U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) released the following statement in advance of the opening of the new Tornillo-Guadalupe Port of Entry, which will be the largest port of entry along the United States-Mexico border:

"Improving border infrastructure plays a key role in strengthening our economy and the Tornillo-Guadalupe Port of Entry is no exception. This new Port of Entry will not only expedite legitimate trade and travel between the U.S. and Mexico, but demonstrates our commitment to building deeper ties with one of our largest trading partners. I congratulate El Paso County leaders for their hard work in achieving this important milestone."
