Today, Dr. Raul Ruiz (D-Palm Desert) released the following statement regarding Pope Francis' address to a Joint Meeting of Congress:

"I was humbled and honored to listen to Pope Francis' message to Congress today. His humility and advocacy on behalf of the less fortunate among us--the immigrants, the poor, the homeless, and those in need of love--inspires me and renews my faith in public service. I am thrilled to be able to share this moment with members of our community who traveled to Washington, DC for this historic occasion." said Dr. Ruiz.
