Governor Maggie Hassan issued the following statement on gas production in Keene:
"Gas leaks can be a serious threat to public safety and public health, and the PUC is currently conducting an investigation of into the problems that Liberty Utilities' Keene gas distribution system had in December. This morning's incident should be considered as the PUC finalizes its staff report, which is due at the end of March. I continue to urge all Granite Staters to take appropriate safety precautions, call 911 if they suspect any issues, and invest in carbon monoxide detectors as they can save lives in situations like this."
