U.S. Representative Mike Kelly (R-PA) -- a member of the House Ways and Means Committee -- delivered two public addresses this week in strong opposition to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action negotiated by the Obama administration with Iran over the future of the Islamic Republic's nuclear capabilities. The first speech took place yesterday at a rally hosted by Tea Party Patriots on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. The second speech was delivered earlier today on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives.
"In two days on Friday, we'll be commemorating the loss of 3,000 innocent Americans due to terrorists that attacked us on our ground, in our country, and in our time. I am telling you that we cannot stand to see this happen anymore. And as we watch Iran right now, every day chanting "Death to America!,' "Death to the Great Satan!,' and "Death to Israel!," we need to echo what we said on September 11th before, and that is, "Never Forget!'"
"My friends, this is only over when we say it's over. When we walk away, we lose. This is not an option. This is a challenge for our generation and we cannot walk away."
"Pray for the Lord to give us the strength to continue to stand against the greatest evil in the world and pray that we can keep our position and never ever turn our backs on the 1.4 million Americans in uniform that have died to give us this privilege."
