Issue Position: Jobs and the Economy

Issue Position

The economy should remain a top priority for every member of Congress. Our economy is not back to where it should be. I think we all realize this. The economy that is important to everyday Americans is much more than the stock market. It's about the security and financial stability of finding full employment, and it's about earning enough money to make ends meet. The burdens placed by government on both individuals and businesses does nothing to alleviate these problems.

I will work with both sides of the political aisles to promote objectives which are conducive to creating jobs. Our country is great and so is our economy, but it is changing. We must prepare our youth for the jobs of tomorrow. I have worked to do this in my teaching career.
