Rep. Matsui Announces Hispanic-Serving Institution Federal Funding for Sacramento City College

Congresswoman Doris Matsui announced that the U.S. Department of Education has awarded Sacramento City College approximately $525,000 in federal funding for each of the next five years as part of the Department's Developing Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) Program.

"This grant recognizes Sacramento City College's commitment to first-year students of diverse backgrounds and needs," said Congresswoman Matsui. "Through this recognition and funding as part of the Developing Hispanic Serving Institution Program, Sacramento City College will continue to invest in first-year students' success, and will improve educational outcomes and opportunities for entering Hispanic students."
