Womack Supports NDAA Passage

Statement

Date: Oct. 1, 2015
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today released the following statement after supporting House-passage of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 (H.R. 1735):

"I am appalled that President Obama would rank the security of our nation below his pet discretionary spending projects by threatening veto a bill as important as the National Defense Authorization Act. The political theater and cheap shots must stop at the livelihood of our men and women in uniform -- especially from their Commander in Chief. Our troops deserve better. I am hopeful that he will surprise us and sign the NDAA into law in spite of his current veto threats."
