Governor Maggie Hassan today issued the following statement and directed flags to half-staff in New Hampshire on Saturday, December 19, in honor of U.S. Army Ranger Corporal Andrew A. Aimesbury:

"Corporal Andrew Aimesbury exemplified New Hampshire's strong tradition of service, bravely defending our nation and our freedom, and his unyielding commitment to protecting his fellow citizens is an enduring inspiration to us all. Andrew was taken far too soon, and it is our responsibility as Granite Staters and Americans to come together to support his family, his loved ones and his community."
