Governor Hassan Proclaims "Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day," Directs Flags to Half-Staff on December 7

Marking the 74th anniversary of the attack on the United States at Pearl Harbor and honoring the courage and sacrifices of those who were present at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, Governor Maggie Hassan has proclaimed Monday, December 7, 2015, as "Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day," in New Hampshire.

"The horrific events of December 7, 1941 -- a day that lives in infamy - forever changed the course of history for this nation and the world," Governor Hassan said. "Year after year, this solemn occasion provides an opportunity to honor the heroes who were killed and those who survived, as well as the millions more who went on to fight for our nation in the Second World War. I join Granite Staters, Americans and people across the world in expressing our profound gratitude for each of these brave men and women - our greatest generation - who sacrificed bravely to ensure that our shared values of liberty, equality, and freedom endured."
