I am committed to ensuring that federal government fulfills it promises to those who have built their retirement around Social Security and Medicare. Those promises made must be kept. I support efforts to strengthen the solvency of both Social Security and Medicare and any such plans to do so must make sure that there are no changes for those who are in or near retirement.
