Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the Pensacola area added 3,300 new jobs over the year. The area's unemployment rate declined by 0.8 percentage point over the year to 4.7 percent in November. Florida businesses across the state have added more than 1 million private-sector jobs since December 2010.
Governor Scott said, "Last month, Pensacola businesses continued to grow opportunities for families in Northwest Florida, with 3,300 new jobs created over the year. Since 2010, more than one million private-sector jobs have been created in Florida, and we will work to cut $1 billion in taxes so we can make Florida first for jobs."
