During today's meeting of the Florida Cabinet, Governor Rick Scott recognized Officer Keith Holmes of the Fort Pierce Police Department with the Medal of Heroism for his bravery and quick reaction to save the lives of five teenage girls during a dangerous situation.

Governor Scott said, "Officer Holmes courageously responded to a dangerous situation and saved the lives of five young girls in need of immediate help. I am proud to honor him with the Medal of Heroism today and thankful that he was present that day to help in their rescue."
