Governor Scott Presents Shine Awards to Four Outstanding Educators

Today, during a meeting of Florida's Cabinet, Governor Rick Scott recognized four outstanding educators from around the state with the Governor's Shine Awards. The Shine Award is presented to teachers and administrators in Florida who make significant contributions to the field of education.

Governor Scott said, "Florida is home to the best teachers in the nation and I am honored to recognize four outstanding educators today with the Governor's Shine Award. I hope our teachers and students have a wonderful holiday break, and I forward to seeing their success in the classroom at the start of the New Year."
