Issue Position

As mayor, John made a promise to never raise taxes. He kept that promise, refusing to raise taxes a single penny for eight straight years. He firmly believes that at the federal level, our country has a spending problem, not a revenue problem. In Congress, he has voted to repeal the Death Tax and voted in favor of America's Small Business Tax Relief Act of 2015. John has also co-sponsored the Fair Tax Act of 2015.
