Cornyn Praises House Passage of Bill Protecting Red River Landowners

U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) issued the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives voted to pass U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry's (R-Clarendon) Red River Private Property Protection Act, which protects landowners from improper federal ownership claims of land along the Red River:

"Texas families that have owned land along the Red River for generations deserve certainty that their property rights will be protected from overreach by the Obama Administration. Today's vote is a positive step toward ensuring the federal government's land claims are restrained and Texas landowner rights are protected."
