Riding on new poll numbers that make him the Republican candidate to catch, Donald Trump packed Burlington Memorial Auditorium, rallying supporters with the show they've come to expect.

"Frankly, I really want to run against Hillary. I really do," the candidate told a crowd of nearly two-thousand Wednesday night.

He is still the brash candidate we have all come to know. Donald Trump minimized his opponents' chances and maximized his status as the Republican frontrunner,
spending the first half of his hour-long speech talking numbers.

"They alway say you love to mention the polls. Nobody else does. Well yes, that's because they're losing. They're not stupid people. They're not stupid people." Holding up sheets of poll numbers, Trump said, "I could could talk about these suckers all night long."

Instead, the candidate spoke, as he said, from the brain and heart. He spoke about why he got into the race. "I backed Mitt Romney and that's the one that should have been the one. And he failed. He failed us."

And, he says, the current administration is failing the American people. Citing not enough victories, too many jobs and factories outsourced, he shared a message with manufacturers. "We're not gonna let you do this. We want you to build. But if you don't want to, that's okay. We're charging you a 35% tax. No discussion."

As for the controversial border discussion, "We're gonna have wall. We're gonna have a great wall and Mexico's going to pay for it."

But he says without a Trump win, "You know what's going to happen. They're going to build a plant and illegals are going to drive those car right over the border. I'm telling you, they're going to drive right over the border. Then they'll probably end up stealing the car and that'll be the end of it."
