Governor Hassan's Statement On New Hampshire Joining 24 States, Cities and Counties in Defense of Clean Power Plan

Governor Maggie Hassan issued the following statement today after Attorney General Joseph Foster announced that New Hampshire is joining 24 states, cities and counties filing a motion to intervene to defend the Clean Power Plan:

"The Clean Power Plan is an important step forward in our efforts to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment that will help our citizens, businesses and economy thrive, and I applaud Attorney General Foster's announcement that New Hampshire will join 24 states, cities and counties in defense of this common-sense plan."

"From our mountains to our lakes to the shores of our Seacoast, climate change is threatening our economy, our environment, our people, and our way of life -- and that is why it is so critical that we act now to protect our state's future."
