Governor Hassan's Statement on Vandalism at Claremont Planned Parenthood

Governor Maggie Hassan issued the following statement today on the vandalism at the Claremont Planned Parenthood:

"These acts of vandalism are an attack on the fundamental right of women to access health care, and should be strongly condemned by all.

"Planned Parenthood provides critical primary and preventive health care services -- including cancer screenings, birth control and STD testing -- and access to these services is essential to the economic security and vitality of our families. The women of the Claremont region will be without access to these services while this damage is repaired. It is long past time to end extreme attempts to block access to critical health services for women."

" I thank the Claremont Police Department and other law enforcement officials for their continued efforts to keep us safe, and those throughout the Claremont community and around the state for standing up against those who would undermine a woman's right to make her own healthcare decisions."
