Statement

Date: Oct. 13, 2015
Location: Concord, NH

Governor Maggie Hassan today issued the following statement on the announcement that New Hampshire's unemployment rate dropped to 3.4 percent in September:

"While the continued decline in our unemployment rate, which fell to 3.4 percent in September, remains an encouraging sign that our economy is moving in the right direction, we know that there is still work to do in order to build on our bipartisan progress for the people and businesses of New Hampshire. We must continue working across party lines to develop an even stronger workforce to fill good jobs in the innovation economy and support job-creating businesses so that we can expand middle class opportunity and keep New Hampshire moving forward."
