Governor Hassan Kicks Off Annual Advanced Manufacturing and High Technology Summit

Statement

Highlighting the importance of advanced manufacturing and high technology to creating jobs, expanding middle class opportunity and keeping New Hampshire's economy moving in the right direction, Governor Maggie Hassan today kicked off the 13th Annual Governor's Advanced Manufacturing and High Technology Summit.

"As the state's largest industry, manufacturing is critical to helping New Hampshire lead in the innovation economy of the 21st century, creating good jobs and keeping our state's economy moving in the right direction," Governor Hassan said. "It is critically important that leaders from business, education institutions and the public sector come together at events like this to exchange ideas and work together to build on our bipartisan progress and move New Hampshire forward."

"Our country's economy continues to strengthen -- and in many respects, New Hampshire remains ahead of the curve," Governor Hassan said. "Advanced manufacturing and high technology are helping to lead the way, but we know that there is more we need to do to keep our economy moving forward, to keep manufacturing jobs in New Hampshire and to attract new advanced manufacturing and high technology companies to the Granite State."
