Governor Maggie Hassan issued the following statement after President Obama nominated Emily Gray Rice yesterday as the U.S. Attorney for New Hampshire:

"Through her distinguished career, Emily Rice has demonstrated the tireless work ethic, legal acumen and commitment to public service that make her an exemplary choice to serve as U.S. Attorney for New Hampshire. In addition to her vast experience as a legal professor, trial lawyer and in the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office, I am particularly grateful that she has served as a co-chair of my Judicial Selection Commission. I applaud President Obama for choosing Emily Rice to take on this important responsibility, and I congratulate her on this well-deserved nomination."
