Statement

Date: Nov. 18, 2015
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) released the following statement after the Senate passed two bipartisan resolutions of disapproval stopping the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from implementing the President's Clean Power Plan:

"Make no mistake: if the EPA is able to fully implement the President's plan, Texans will see higher costs at the pump, at the supermarket, and on their utility bills," Sen. Cornyn said. "Today's vote is a critical first step towards stopping the EPA's job-killing regulatory regime that will disproportionately hurt Texas families and small businesses at a time when our energy needs are only increasing."
