Gov. Scott: West Palm Beach Adds More Than 11,000 Jobs Over the Year

Today, Governor Rick Scott announced that the West Palm Beach area added 11,900 jobs over the year in October. The West Palm Beach area's unemployment rate declined by 0.5 percentage point over the year to 4.9 percent in October. Florida businesses have added 978,800 private-sector jobs since December 2010.

Governor Scott said, "We are excited that the West Palm Beach area added more than 11,000 jobs over the year. By cutting taxes and diversifying our economy, families across the state will be able to continue to find a great job and live the American dream."
