Today, in honor of the sacrifices of our nation's heroes, Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) traveled to events in Washington state to spend time with veterans and thank them for their service. Senator Murray joined veterans and advocates in Renton to celebrate the kick-off of Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County's Veterans Build program, to help veterans gain more technical skills while building affordable housing. She then attended the University of Washington's Veterans Day event to honor student veterans in their community. Finally, Senator Murray joined the Puyallup Tribe at an event to dedicate their Veterans Memorial Wall.

"I call on all of my colleagues and fellow citizens to honor our veterans every day of the year with the kind of action that shows them -- we're grateful for your sacrifice," Senator Murray said in her remarks.
