Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, C -- NY-1), member of the House Veterans' Affairs committee, announced today that the Hire More Heroes Act, which the Congressman strongly supported and cosponsored in the House of Representatives, was signed into law by President Obama.
"My first day in Congress, I voted for the Hire More Heroes Act, which will help our Long Island veterans obtain jobs and financial security, encouraging small businesses to hire veterans, while providing local employers with relief from burdensome requirements under Obamacare," said Congressman Zeldin. "I was proud to cosponsor and support this legislation and announce that this critical piece of legislation for our veterans has now become law. Fighting for our veterans who fought for us has always been one of my top priorities, and I will continue to support any measures that will further protect our veterans."
