Keeping National Guard engineering battalion in Maine the right decision

Statement

Congresswoman Chellie Pingree said the decision by the National Guard Bureau to keep the 133rd Engineer Battalion in Maine was the right thing to do.

"Maine has a long relationship with the 133rd and they have served the people of Maine well in times of peace and in times of war. I've been opposed to swapping them for a combat battalion from another state and am glad the National Guard Bureau has agreed that it's a bad idea."
