Van Hollen Announces $982,373 for Maryland Community Behavioral Health Clinics

Today Maryland Congressmen Chris Van Hollen announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded Maryland $982,373 to support Community Behavioral Health Clinics. The funding aims to improve behavioral health by providing mental and substance use disorder treatment.

"These funds will strengthen Maryland's efforts to provide quality, community-based treatment for those dealing with mental health issues and substance abuse," said Congressman Van Hollen. "At a time when there is a great societal need to deal with drug abuse as a public health issue, this funding provides welcome assistance to vulnerable Marylanders striving to get healthy and get ahead."
