Sessions Statement on the Iran Nuclear Agreement

Statement

Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Foreign Affairs

U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX-32), Chairman of the House Rules Committee and a Member of House Republican Leadership, today released the following statement on the Iran Nuclear Agreement:

I have been skeptical of President Obama's negotiations with Iran from the outset, and today's agreement proves that the Administration was more committed to getting any deal than they were to getting a deal that is good for the American people. Although I look forward to reviewing the details further as Congress gets its chance to vote on this deal, I cannot support an agreement that puts our allies at risks, encourages the continued spread of terrorism, and puts the Middle East on the path towards a nuclear arms race.
