Young Comments On Secret Side Deal Conceded To Iranian Regime

Congressman Todd Young (R-IN) issued the following statement in response to news of a secret side agreement between the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Iran that is part of the final nuclear agreement.

"As someone who has worn the uniform of our nation and worked intelligence as an officer in the Marine Corps, I find it disturbing the administration trusts Iran to police itself given its decades-long history of lies and deceit," said Congressman Young.

"For weeks, the American people have been party to a misinformation campaign wherein the President aggressively marketed his deal as one based on verification and not on trust. We now understand that claim to be false. This latest revelation vindicates all of us who from the beginning understood the administration's whitewashed concessions to be a dangerous deal-breaker and came out in strong opposition."
