U.S. Congressman Marlin Stutzman (IN-03) issued the following statement regarding his vote against the short-term funding bill to continue appropriations through December 11th:
"Unfortunately, the shortsighted continuing resolution that came to the Floor today not only fails to responsibly fund our government through the next fiscal year, it also does nothing to address the nation's $18 trillion debt. In addition, it fails to acknowledge that taxpayers have no business funding organizations under investigation for harvesting the body parts of babies for profit. We face gigantic challenges ahead that we must tackle if we are to leave this country in a better position for our children and grandchildren. Patchwork solutions simply will not do," Stutzman said.
