Frankel Legislation Would Boost Local Transportation Funding

Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-22) has introduced the Metropolitan Planning Enhancement Act, which would bring critically needed transportation dollars to Broward and Palm Beach counties. The legislation awards additional funding from the federal government to local transportation organizations that work together.

"Directing more funding to our local governments will mean a smarter, more efficient use of the federal resources that move our economy," said Frankel. "As a former mayor, I know first-hand that local authorities best know the needs of the community, whether it's getting residents to work, our children to school, or deliveries to local businesses, safely and on time."
