Governor Greg Abbott today met with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto to discuss additional ways Texas and Mexico can work together to further strengthen their partnership. Governor Abbott also extended a formal invitation for President Peña Nieto to visit Texas.
"I want to extend my deepest gratitude to President Peña Nieto for taking the time to meet with me on my first visit to Mexico as Governor of Texas," said Governor Abbott. "This trip has yielded significant outcomes that will ultimately strengthen the bond between Texas and Mexico. I look forward to continuing our dialogue and working with Mexico to ensure greater prosperity on both sides of the border."
