North Dakota Wildlife Refuges Opened to Sport Fishing for the First Time

Congressman Kevin Cramer announced today for the first time sport fishing will be allowed on four national wildlife refuges in North Dakota. They are the Ardoch, Lake Alice, Rose Lake and Silver Lake refuges, which are part of the National Wildlife Refuge System (NWRS), a division of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). This change in policy is effective immediately.

"North Dakota is a sportsman's paradise. We have a long history of wisely using public lands for conservation and to benefit the economy. This decision will provide new economic opportunities for local communities and anglers access to new fishing areas," said Cramer.
