Issue Position: Accountability

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2015

A country's government should be accountable to the people it serves. Congress serves as the accountability arm of the Federal Government and holds hearings to make sure people stay honest. As subcommittee chairman of the Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Protection, and Security Technologies, it is Congressman Ratcliffe's job to continually search out who is accoutable for keeping our country safe from cyber threats, along with fostering solutions.

I feel so blessed and grateful to represent our district and I am thankful for every day for the opportunity to be your voice in Congress. My office provides a wide range of constituent services that I encourage you to take advantage of. Whether you need help with a federal agency, would like to order a flag, plan a trip to Washington, apply for a federal grant, or are considering applying to a military academy - we can help. Please don't hesitate to reach out. I recently opened district offices in Rockwall, Sherman, and Texarkana, and I hope you'll stop by if you're in the area.

As a limited government conservative, I believe I was sent to Congress to put an end to the dangerous cycle of borrowing and taxing and spending which threatens the prosperity of future generations. I'm committed to standing strong against Obama's big-government agenda, holding him accountable and bringing commonsense, Texas values to Washington.
