Continuing her efforts to help New Hampshire workers develop the skills and innovative thinking needed for good jobs in the 21st century economy, Governor Maggie Hassan announced today that three New Hampshire companies have been awarded job training grants to help them train 56 workers in new skills.
The job training grants total $76,345 and the companies matched the training funds to bring the total amount for training workers to $152,690.
"I am proud to announce the latest round of critical job training grants to help workers develop skills for good jobs at New Hampshire's growing businesses," said Governor Hassan. "New Hampshire's Job Training Fund is an important resource that has helped thousands of workers develop the skills and innovative thinking needed for success in the 21st century economy. We must continue to focus on strengthening our workforce pipeline through job training and higher education in order to help expand middle class opportunity, support innovative businesses and keep New Hampshire's economy moving in the right direction."
