Issue Position

Our healthcare system was in need of reform before Obamacare was passed into law. However, instead of fixing our healthcare system, President Obama's health plan increased costs, introduced greater confusion into the marketplace, and placed an excessive amount of power in the hands of the federal government.

We must not only repeal Obamacare, but also replace it with free market solutions that empower our citizens. This includes putting commonsense policies into place such as allowing insurance providers to compete across state lines and implementing tort reform. I believe that by instituting policies that increase market competition we can drive down our healthcare costs and provide the American people with a better healthcare system.
