Issue Position

I believe energy independence is more important now than ever. The United States possesses immense oil and natural gas reserves that are completely unused. Increasing our energy independence can and should be done in a responsible and environmentally sound manner. By utilizing our own resources, we can lower gas prices, create new American jobs, decrease our dependence on foreign oil, strengthen our national security, and help reduce our national debt.
