Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today released the following statement regarding the death of Staff Sergeant David Wyatt in the tragic shootings in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on Thursday, July 16, 2015:

"I am heartbroken to learn of the loss of Staff Sergeant David Wyatt, who was gunned down performing his duties as Battery Operations Chief, 3rd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Chattanooga, Tennessee. It is devastating that this decorated Marine was taken in the homeland that he served valiantly overseas to protect. The Russellville and Atkins communities -- and the entire Third District -- mourn the loss of this Russellville Cyclone and his fellow Marines. My prayers are with his wife, his two children, and his parents."
