Governor Scott Announces Amazon's Expansion of 2,000 New Jobs in Florida

Today, Governor Rick Scott announced Amazon.com, Inc.'s expansion of 2,000 new jobs in Florida at their fulfillment centers in Lakeland and Ruskin. Amazon's fulfillment centers currently employ more than 2,000 Floridians.

Governor Rick Scott said, "I am excited to announce that Amazon is expanding in Florida and adding more than 2,000 new jobs, which will more than double their current Florida workforce in less than a year. We have worked hard to create a pro-business environment that encourages growth and innovation so companies like Amazon can succeed. "
