Congressman French Hill (AR-2) released the following statement after the U.S. District Court of North Dakota granted a preliminary injunction against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) "waters of the United States" (WOTUS) rule, which was scheduled to go into effect this week:
"This Administration has consistently exceeded its authority and ignored input from relevant stakeholders when making crucial decisions affecting the American people and our economy. In the case of the WOTUS rule, our state and local communities know best how to regulate and manage our natural resources. Judge Erickson's injunction is an important first step in stopping this regulatory overreach from causing major economic harm to farmers and ranchers in Arkansas and across America."
