U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) released the following statement after the release of the Senate Finance Committee's report on the Internal Revenue Service's targeting of conservative groups:
"The committee's findings confirm what the American people already know about this scandal: a pattern of gross politicization and targeting of conservative groups by top IRS officials that is completely unacceptable," Sen. Cornyn said. "The IRS must ensure this toxic culture of targeting organizations solely for their political beliefs has been eradicated from their ranks."
