Cornyn, VA Secretary McDonald to Visit Rio Grande Valley

U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) today announced that Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert McDonald has accepted his invitation to visit the Rio Grande Valley on September 14th to meet with veterans' groups and tour a facility to get a better idea of south Texas veterans' healthcare needs. A more detailed itinerary will follow closer to the trip.

"Although improvements have been made to the region's veterans' medical facilities, getting access to quality care in South Texas is still far too challenging, especially for inpatient care," said Sen. Cornyn. "I am pleased Secretary McDonald has accepted my invitation to join me in the Rio Grande Valley as we continue to look for innovative solutions to improve healthcare for South Texas veterans and their families."
