Capito Votes to Protect West Virginians from Toxic Chemicals

U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito, a member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, today released the following statement regarding the committee's passage of S. 697, The Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act:

"Protecting our communities from toxic chemicals is vitally important. As the Freedom Industries spill in Charleston illustrated, our toxic chemical regulatory framework must be updated. As co-sponsor of The Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act, I was glad to vote to keep our families healthy and safe."
