Warner Votes Against Efforts to Defund Important Women's Health Services

U.S. Mark R. Warner (D-VA) issued the following statement on efforts to cut off all federal funding for health services provided by Planned Parenthood:
"Continued funding for the important health services provided by Planned Parenthood is critical to the health of women and their families. There are multiple investigations already underway to determine if there has been wrongdoing. It is a mistake to allow these offensive, though heavily edited, videos to be used as a pretext to launch political attacks designed to deny women access to the important health services like cancer screenings, birth control, and well-woman exams that Planned Parenthood provides."
