Warner Statement on Governor's Announcement Regarding Confederate License Plates

Sen. Mark R. Warner (D-VA) issued the following statement after Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe announced that he has begun actions to remove the Confederate emblem from state-issued license plates:

"I am very glad that the Governor is removing Confederate flags from Virginia license plates. This divisive emblem doesn't belong on state-issued plates."
